Hi folks, Cleve here with The Painting Pros, bringing you another Painting Pros Project Spotlight. Today we're featuring a commercial interior painting job at this medical building on Good Samaritan Drive in San Jose. We're painting the walls and the trim in two halls and a very tall stairwell.
And unique to this job, we're painting the walls inside the elevator too. We were asked to match the colors in another office and the matches we did, they came out perfect. Of course, as always, our color consultations are free.
For this project and every project we do, preparation is key to achieving a beautiful and long-lasting job. So we don't cut any corners in the preparation. Our professional team took extra care by covering all the floors with clean drop cloth, masking the trim and baseboards, and removing switch and outlet plates.
We repaired all the holes and dings in the walls, and we sanded the trim. For this job, we needed to prime the wallpaper on the first floor and the wallpaper on the interior of the elevator. We used a high-quality eggshell enamel on the walls and a semi-gloss for all the trim.
We chose to use Benjamin Moore's top-of-the-line Scuff-X paint for its durability and washability. It's an excellent choice for a high-traffic area like the halls and stairwell of this medical building. We applied two coats of finished paint on all surfaces.
The result? Great-looking, long-lasting finish, and it's going to be easy to maintain. Take a look at how nice this project turned out. The walls look great.
We did an accent color on one wall and the stairwell for a little extra color pop, and the trim color contrasts well with the main color.
